Connection Method: Flange connection, threaded connection, welded connection, clamp connection, etc., adaptable to different piping systems;
Sealing Surface: The sealing part that works with the valve disc, often made of metal, rubber, or composite materials (such as cemented carbide, PTFE).
Processing Technology
Casting: Suitable for valves with complex shapes (such as butterfly valve bodies), low cost but may have sand holes;
Forging: Used for high-pressure valve bodies (such as gate valves, globe valves), fine grains, high strength;
Welding: For combined valve bodies (such as three-piece ball valves), connecting the parts through welding.
Quality Inspection
Pressure Test: Shell test (1.5 times the nominal pressure), sealing test (1.1 times the nominal pressure), ensuring no leakage;
Non-destructive Testing: X-ray inspection (RT), ultrasonic inspection (UT), checking for internal defects;
Surface Treatment: Stainless steel valve bodies require pickling and passivation, carbon steel valve bodies require paint for corrosion protection (such as epoxy resin coating).
